March 2025 theme fixes

Daniel finally noticed that the stock Perplex theme has a number of flaws, so he has fixed the most important ones for his sites.

Daniel is planning on, over time, finally building his own theme (at least then any bugs are his), a project he started but abandoned over a year ago. In the meantime he is planning on refactoring the Perplex layouts and CSS.
